Chef On Wheels Bike Tour, Sicily

One of my favorite times of the year is when I join my friends from Duvine and lead our “Chef on Wheels” trips. It brings together my two greatest loves: food and cycling. We cycle through some of the most famous roads of Europe and cook and eat together. We ride hard, eat well, drink delicious wines and sleep like babies. This June we road through Southeast Sicily, an area of Italy that was completely new to me and is now one of my favorite places on earth.
Mid-ride stops for espresso (and gelato!) are a must in Sicily and we had a chance to see tiny, picturesque towns with twisting, winding roads in search of the best gelato. In 6 days we covered a lot of ground and experience the best food, wine and twisty roads Sicily has to offer.
